The Laser Rangefinder is a compact, high speed, high precision distance sensor based on the Time-of-Flight (ToF) principle. It measures distance by sending out pulses of lasers and recording the time it takes to bounce back using a grid of single photon avalanche diodes (SPADs). The frequency of the pulse emissions can be adjusted for up to 100Hz ranging, and the size of the receiving photodiode grid can be configured in order to change the sensor's field-of-view.
